Cytomel
Belongs to a group of medicines called 'thyroid mimetics'. T4 is inactive and is converted into the active T3 in the body. When to take special care with Ciprofloxacin

- When your adrenal function has decreased due to a long and severe reduction in thyroid function. Your doctor will first treat the decreased adrenal function before starting treatment with Cytomel.
- If you have a decrease in the function of the anterior pituitary gland (a specific center in the brain that produces hormones). Your doctor will therefore first treat the decreased adrenal function before starting treatment with Cytomel.
- If you have a heart rhythm disorder. You must tell your doctor because of the risk of your heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmias) getting worse. |
